- Read books: There are always some books that align with your mood. If you want to energize your soul, you can read some spiritual, self-help books. Travel books are good for having a broad perspective on life, Romantic books will remind you how beautiful life can be.
- Avoid multitasking: If you want to maximize your productivity, do a single task at a time. Multitasking will divide your attention to the multiple jobs suffering your efficiency.
- Multi-Joy: Do something that brings people joy.
- Digital Detox: Spend some time without a digital device. Gradually you will see the difference in your focus and sleep quality. List the name of your major distractions, and make frictions to reach the distractions.
- Take a walk: Nature has healing power. The closer you get to nature, the better it is for your mental health.
- Gratefulness: Practicing gratitude is a brain exercise. It means you are training your brain to focus on the brighter side of life. It will bring a positive attitude to your personality, you will find yourself radiating positive energy to the surroundings that also lift the spirit of your close people.
- Make a plan: If you are already having a bad day, plan how you can make the day better.
- Wake up at the same time every day: Sometimes, after 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep, we feel tired and face brain fog. The reason behind this problem might be not waking up at the same time in the morning. Waking up at the same time in the morning will compel you to get into bed at the same time every day. By building this habit, you will wake up without the help of any external alarm clock. It will reduce the possibility of accidental sleep.
- Make your bed: “If you make your bed every morning, you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another.“ It doesn’t take a lot of time but sets the morning with a sense of accomplishment.
- Hydrate yourself: After sleeping for 8 hours (that’s one-third of the day) the body gets dehydrated. Every time we breathe, some moisture leaves our bodies. Now think about how much water we lose while sleeping.
- Journal: Isn’t it wonderful to see your past self and how much you progressed to this point in life? Tracking down your life journey and what bothers you, help you to have a clearer mind and gives a hint of gratification of your progress.
- Slow down in the morning: Wake up at least 1 hour before your work hour or university. It will reduce your morning stress and help you to start a day with a clear and calm mind.
- Move your body and have breakfast: Exercising releases endorphins which is known as the happy hormone. It works as a natural pain-killer, minimizes discomfort, and maximizes happiness.
